Home Breeding Discus

I have several pairs of discus which started to lay eggs. The eggs will hatch after 3 days, it was interesting to observe the discus care for the babies and moving them from one place to another in the aquarium. The success rate is really low now and hope to gain more experience in growing them.

  1. I have another pair now also laying eggs ... and just bought a Tropical Fish Bobbyist magazine to learn the skill in breeding Discus.

    water cold, some eggs turn white

    eggs hatched

    Day 4
    fries stick to wall

    Day 5
    fries still stick to wall

    Day 6
    fries swim freely

    Day 7-10
    fries feeding on parents skin
